FESTIVAL: LUMINESCENCE INTERNATIONAL TEEN FILM FESTIVAL

Our names are Maya Reamey and Emily Tomz and we are the heads of Luminescence, a teen run student film festival run by the Palo Alto Teen Arts Council! We wanted to reach out and see if any students from Sillicon Valley Career Technical Education would be interested in submitting a film. Luminescence has been going on for 3 years, and each year a variety of films are submitted from students across the world.

Here are some more details regarding the submission process, the deadline of which is on Saturday March 24th. All genres of film are accepted but the film must be shorter than 15 minutes. Also, because Luminescence is coming up soon, there is now a $3 submission fee. No matter if a student’s film is selected or not, they are still welcome to attend the event on May 19th at the Palo Alto Children’s Theater.

In addition, Luminescence gives out several awards each year, some of which include Best Local Film, Superb Acting Award, and the Audience Choice Award.

Here is the submission link:

https://filmfreeway.com/LuminescenceFestival

We would be extremely appreciative if you passed this along to your students! If you or they have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email us at luminescencefilmfestival@gmail.com.
